YOUTH FOR A POSITIVE IMAGE FUND FOR THE ONE-TIME SUPPLEMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must be a graduating high school senior.
Candidates must have at least a 2.5-2.99 high school grade point average (assuming a scale of A=4.0).
Candidates must plan to attend a college or university on a full-time basis in a 2 or more year program.


Selection Criteria

Candidates will be chosen on the basis of the following selection criteria with the following weighting:

1. Academic potential – 40%
2. Leadership – 30%
3. Community Service—30%

Other scholarship awards already received by the candidate will also be taken into account.

Additional Guidelines
1. Scholarship awards shall be paid directly to the college or university that the recipient(s) shall be attending.
2. Awards may be used for the recipients’ tuition and books only.

FOR THE 4-YEAR SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidate must be a graduating high school senior.
2. Candidates must have at least a 2.9 high school grade point average (assuming a scale of A=4.0).
3. Candidates must plan to attend a college or university on a full-time basis in a 2 or more year program.

Selection Criteria
Candidates will be chosen on the basis of the following selection criteria with the following weighting:

1. Academic potential – 40%
2. Leadership – 30%
3. Community Service—30%

Other scholarship awards already received by the candidate will also be taken into account.

Renewal Applications will be available for previous Youth For A Positive Image scholarship recipients. Approval of a renewal request will be based on the student maintaining a 2.9 grade point average, with consideration of any special circumstances. Renewal of a scholarship is not automatic and lies in the discretion of the selection committee.Renewal also requires the scholarship recipient to volunteer 4 hours per year.
