Annual Math Camp “Voyage to Math and Science Academics” |

| In August 2003 YFAPI established a summer program called “Academic Skills Camp”. Annually YFAPI offers a “Summer Academic MATH and SCIENCE Camp” for middle and high school students. The purpose: The camp is to help prepare students academically for their upcoming school year, while developing students academic skill levels in Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Study skills, Note-Taking, Technology, Peer pressure, and self-confidence. The camp: is traditionally held on the campus of Columbus State Community College (CSCC). In partnership with Center Of Science and Industry (COSI) and Columbus State Community College (Math department). Documents: Past studies have shown that students lose over 50% of what they have learned during the school year, over the summer vacation. |
