Our Programs Can make the Difference

YFAPI programs are designed to develop the skills that will assist children throughout their lives:

Leadership * Sportsmanship * Citizenship * Teamwork

Over the years, hundreds of children from central Ohio and their families have benefited from YFAPI's programs, activites, and workshops.

Athletic Programs. In YFAPI's athletic program, there are no tryouts. If a child wants to play basketball, he or she plays basketball. If soccer or cheerleading is more to their liking, that's exactly what they'll do. YFAPI feels childrens should be given the chance to participate in the activities that they have their hearts set on, regardless of their skill level.

Our athletic program offers football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and cheerleading to children and teens ranging from 5 to 15 years of age. The youth players compete intramurally and against other athletic organization in central Ohio.

Educational Programs. Nothing is more important than a good education. That's why YFAPI offers tutoring and mentoring services to those who need a helping hand-and mind- to achieve their goals. Many of youth have received scholastic honors as a results of the educational programs at YFAPI. Also, to lessen the financial burden of furthering an education, YFAPI helps secure full-time and part-time job opportunities as well as internship for high school and college students.

Additional Programming. Working together to achieve success is an essential element at YFAPI with teamwork. YFAPI also involved in many community service projects through our outreach programs and workshops.

Program Recognition. We've recently been recognized for our community service efforts by receiving the 1991 Kroger Co. Community Service award. We have also received awards from numerous organizations, includng the Ohio Hourse of Representatives, Columbus Urban League, and the U.S. Postal Service. A number of Ohio's industry leaders and governments bodies have acknowledged the part YFAPI has played in the live of youth, and continue to support our goals and program.
